Moving to USA with my buddy (during Covid) ①

Summer 2020,

when Covid was shaking the world.

Like everyone else, we were also affected.

Willy Senpai's (dog) trip to the U.S.

was like ”The Game of Life" without an exit.

It was a series of obstacles after another.

Scheduled date of departure to the U.S.

was early August 2020.

One month before, (our)

State of Emergency was announced!!

OMG!

Message arrived from Airline A

stating that cargo transportation

would be canceled due to Covid.

Mole:

"Well, then, can we transfer him to

regular seating?"

Airline A:

"Weight limit including pet and cage is 10kg ... "

Uhhh,

Willy Senpai alone weighed 20kg ...

I quickly changed my reservation to Airline B,

but, a week later

the flight itself was canceled due to Covid.

Airline C, which I made an immediate reservation,

without a break,

was also canceled 💀

Flight date was approaching every moment.

Local school, accommodation and car rental there ...

It was becoming too difficult to change

at this stage.

There were only one means left.

Leave Willy Senpai tentatively in Japan and fly

only by ourselves to the U.S.

But that's so sad arent they 😭?

Those were days of agony and confusion.

Finally,

We called numerous contacts and arrived to

a person who would kindly take care of

Willy Senpai temporarily

(via acquaintances of relative's friend's friend)

I managed to find it in the last minute,

I slipped in and went to Saitama to leave Willy Sempai .

Almost instantly, went straight to Narita Airport

(the opposite direction!).

I'm sorry, Willy Sempai!

When the Covid calms down,

I'll definitely pick you up!

Heart Broken Mole headed to Arizona.

There are many people who have been forced to change their life plans due to the Covid disaster, but it was harder than I had imagined. At beginning of the schools, already booked residence and rental car in the U.S., a Japanese house that we have to move out by the departure day... When we finally landed in Arizona, whole family almost fainted! We had too many things! 😫 ( Our exotic journey still continues... ▶ ︎)
